Re: Introducing Dreampipe portal for planetweb etc
Hello Dan how are you? I like the updated home page. Very nice work, I was told more people would of done the SA2 Halloween for Pumpkin Hill if it wasn't a Knuckles/Treasure Hunting level. They would like a Sonic or Shadow Time Attack or High Score. A lot of people like there levels. Keep up the good work.

I have the same problem using PlanetWeb 3.0 too so it's just not you

I assume you both are using a planetweb 3 iso and not a retail pw3 disk?Sonic1994DC wrote:pcwzrd13 wrote:Finally checked out the site. Looks really cool man! If so, the iso that is out there is buggy.
The only version that was ever fixed was made by ReviveDC.
The RDC version fixes the copy protection and allows the disk to not crash.
It is the same copy protection that was used in PSO.
Basically certain files have to be on the disk and they have to be the correct file size.
Soon I will finally mod this version for Dan.
I have everything ready to go just need to get it done.
I am hoping maybe later this week or possibly next week I will have a test version made.
It will auto connect to dreampipe and possibly spoof the user agent if this results in more website compatibility.
I will also have an auto connect to google version.
From what I have found it is best to leave all other dns entries stock and not mod them like the older buggy pw3 google edition.
Same goes for modding the bookmarks and modifying any splash screens or screen saver etc.
The older pw3 google edition mod was the first dc iso I made.
It has a bad sort order and is unstable.
It also does not fix the copy protection.
Like I said earlier the only version that fixes this is the RDC one.

Yeah ever since the whole revive DC project went under and the owner decided to get rid of all of the stuff made and never had anything archived, it's been difficult for me to find. Do you happen to have a copy?SMiTH wrote:I assume you both are using a planetweb 3 iso and not a retail pw3 disk?Sonic1994DC wrote:pcwzrd13 wrote:Finally checked out the site. Looks really cool man! We both have a legit copy of PlanetWeb 3.0. We can both get to the site its just that it crashes at random a lot. Mostly for me when I click on multimedia it crashes

Re: Introducing Dreampipe portal for planetweb etc
If anyone has a bba and want's to check out the Sonic Adventure webpage put 192.185.5.9 as your DNS ( Do this from the XDP Browser) and save it. Once you have it save and go to the home screen and type in the URL sonic.games.dreamcast.com once you hit enter on your keyboard you should be greeted by Sonic giving you a thumbs up, then it will go to the SA homepage. Now you can check updates about the webpage and there's an IceCap event were you send in your best time and see it on the Leaderboards. More information about that on the SA homepage

Re: Introducing Dreampipe portal for planetweb etc
I think the crashing has something to do with the planetweb page being pre-cached on the disc. A good portion of the image names were left the same from planetweb. So it may go to load the images from disc, see's the site has been modified and crashes
Planetweb 2.0 works the best for both main site, and miniBB forums
And SMITH, i'm looking forward to that stable PW3.0

There's no file for Ice Cap. Just take a screenshot of your clear time. I think that's the way 90s magazines did it so why not
