This one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cisco-Linksys-S ... SwjXRXbpAi

We've only tested 2 of the 5 games so far, but based on Sega Rally I think Daytona should work pretty well.

I think the choppiness in Bomberman is due to how tightly it's trying sync the player's movements and key-presses. No matter how much latency we shave, we're still going to have more than a traditional phone line. It's almost like the game pauses for fraction of a second every second or so, so I think it's waiting for the data from the other player to arrive before it updates the local game. You get used to it because it's a regular rhythm.

I was afraid Sega Rally was going to behave the same way. Having a fast-paced racer be choppy like that would be unplayable. Thankfully that wasn't the case.

Great news everyone! I knew it would work, just not how well. Good to know Sega Rally is playable!
I recently acquired a Saturn, now for a netlink. Goes on eBay now...

Got through testing the rest of the games. Daytona and Rally are by far the best. Virtual on and Duke had some lag. Xiden said duke was pretty good on his end, but for me it was a little too choppy for good FPS play.

Do you have the network jitter level set to low on your end? For Quake on DC it made an unplayable to playable difference. If your worried about connection stability, I never had a disconnection with it on low.

Yeah it's on low with size adjustment turned off. Audio packet size is 20ms. We can go down to 10ms but at least in Bomberman it didn't seem to make much of a difference.

Quake is also designed for the internet, so it's always going to be more tolerant. Xiden and I have about 90ms ping between us that we can't do anything about, all we can do is try to shave some off in other areas.

Guide 1.0 is finished.

I'd Say in terms of what performed the best

1. Sega Rally Championship
2. Daytona USA CCE
3. Saturn Bomberman
4. Duke Nukem 3D
5. Virtua On

Right on. I would say 90ms is good with this kind of setup. The closer the better. Great work with the guide! 8-)
