I've been playing gta3 on CD. It's working better than expected other than some hitching. Has anybody tried playing through the serial port as a comparison? I'm wounding how it compares with the right settings?

It works great on on the SD serial port. Probably will run better in the future

I do have an upgraded PicoPSU which may help perhaps?
Thank you for checking and letting me know!

I had another controller plugged in to the Dreamcast today and when I tried playing it again it all seemed to be working okay. I was able to move and drive around just as I did on my other DC with USB-GDROM installed. Not sure what the issue is/ was, though I have noticed my controller/ port now keeps trying to move down on its own... :roll:

Ted.

If you're using an authentic GDEMU with either gdMenu or openMenu and the new GTA3 port crashes on boot, you must change these two settings in GDEMU.ini.

Default settings are...

open_time = 500
detect_time = 250

But they must be changed to...

open_time = 500
detect_time = 150

These are the safest settings that still allow disc-swap to function reliably.
