Hey gang, apologies for not uploading anything over the last 6 weeks or so, been a bit busy but my Dreamcast is back and ready for more shenanigans so watch out for more of my Evil Twin and Headhunter walkthroughs as well as hopefully a few new features to my channel. I am currently discussing a new video series with a friend and was looking to get some feedback. The idea is this, he and I play dreamcast games from a-z, literally every one that I own, he's played a few before and I've played most once or twice at least, so the idea is just to film the game play and our reactions/banter as a sort of fun but mildly offensive banter-y type series, probably loads of them out there but he and I think we could do something fun here, it will be interesting to see what he thinks of the games he's never played before and what I think after not playing them for so long... what do you guys think? Please bear in mind that this may never fully take of the ground, but he and I are pretty keen to do something and this is the idea we are floating at the moment

let me know what you guys think :D

Got some more Headhunter for you guys finally! I had an issue with this one as I stupidly captured a butt load of footage last year, ended up not uploading some of it and loosing the footage somehow, so then when I came back to play it my save file was miles ahead of the footage already uploaded! So this meant having to start it from scratch, which I was a bit peeved about lol, but I finally did it this week and here is the next part!!

I reviewed another DC game, so 2 down, like 245 to go.

Roadsters sucks, by the way.

I hit a cow, and it like popped, not exploded, or spilled guts, just split into like 6 sections of cow.

But Adam, the Dreamcast WAS the ultimate sports gaming console!!!

Don't you remember how laughable ALL the other sports games were in comparison to NFL, NBA, and NHL 2K???

I understand that Dreamcast sports games may not seem so amazing nowadays, but at the time they were insane! And it took many years for EA to bridge that gap.

Thanks Neo! I recently got a new camcorder and now have a permanent greenscreen setup. I also have new editing software and I've made quite a few other little improvements as well.

I reviewed DOA 2 for the DC, it's a great game.

^ Good review.

DOA2 may be my favorite game of all time.

But regarding the Japanese voice-acting: typically, developers would not dub games into English. Even with SF2 for SNES and Genesis, you might notice this. (Although there is not nearly as much talking in that game, obviously).

Why Japanese? Because it's a Japanese developer. Not only the Americans, but the Chinese characters (Gen Fu, Jann Lee, and Lei Fang) also speak Japanese. Leon is Italian, Helena is French, Bayman is Russian. They all speak Japanese.

From what I've seen on the internets, it seems that DOA5 has English dubs, which IMO is a disaster. You have Tina speaking with this southern drawl.

I understand it is heavily suggested that Tina and Bass are from Texas (what with both having cowboy-themed clothes), but the caricature is absurd when it's done in English. It just looks stupid, hearing Tina say "hey y'all" etc. Same with Zack. These caricatures/cliches are funny and lovable in Japanese; it aligns perfectly with the existing anime tropes for characters who are American or American-inspired.

Franky (from One Piece), for example. Awesome character, right? Well he's a Japanese parody of an American. He's big, loud, and cocky... but he's also gregarious and fun and generally among the most likeable characters in the series.

I think the same can be said about the American characters in DOA2. Zack is easily the most likable character; Bass is not far behind. And Tina, while being quite annoying, has a much more well-defined, interesting, and fun personality than a lot of the others.

For me, DOA2 had the best voice-acting of any game in the series. In fact, I am so attached to their voices in this game that I can't bring myself to listen to any of the other versions. Gotta give props to Tecmo for putting a lot of attention into getting PERFECT voice actors for each character. I crack up every time Zack opens his mouth.
