I actually own three, yes THREE copies of US Shenmue :? It's a long story...........I won't bore you ! lol

mazonemayu, you're right about having to pay market value for games if you really want them. I guess I've always tried to do things on the cheap though ! lol

Really, I never started off as a collector so didn't take great care of my games and peripherals. You know, lost manuals and spine cards, broken cases and trashed boxes, scratched and lost discs etc etc You would have had a seizure if you'd seen the state of my collection a few years ago  Still, I've finally seen the light and am in the process of bringing the whole lot up to scratch. I'm not saying I'll ever reach your level or achieve any completist goals, hopefully I'll just have a nice collection of DC stuff in decent condition. It's gonna take some time.

I always want to actually play the games, lend them out etc as I collect them rather than keep them sealed. But I don't think of that as being a bad thing necessarily ? I don't know, what would a genuine hardcore collector think ?

I open certain sealed games as well, as long as I want to play em. there's just some things like sports games; I hate em. but as a collector, I own a bunch of em as well, those I don't open coz I don't see the use ;)

Yeah, that's pretty much how I see it as well.

You don't like sports games ? Mmmm, that's a shame as the Dreamcast has some must-play sports games. I've played Net Golf/Tee Off, Virtua Tennis, Ready To Rumble and NHL2k2 with people who HATE sport usually, but really enjoyed those games.

Haha, I'm no pro at this but I feel like I've got a fairly good repertoire of games:

Shenmue, Soul Calibur, Evolution, Crazy Taxi, Virtua Tennis, Cyber Troopers Virtual On Oratorio Tangram, Dead or Alive 2, Power Stone, Chu Chu Rocket, and for the novelty of it, Chef's Luv Shack.

I'm looking to get Outtrigger and Rez soon, and probably Space Channel 5. All great games.

I always open a sealed game, I just think life's too short to buy stuff purely to have it sit on a shelf. Saying that, I've got 500+ games and I hardly get time to play a 100th of that at in a month let alone play all of them!

I have certain sealed games, that I'll prolly never open, like sports or racing games; but thats just coz I don't enjoy those 2 genres
