No, you should only need to create a virtual serial port. Look over step one to determine which COM port your modem is using. Just skim over anything you've skipped. Read over steps 1 and 5 in particular

ok.
in step 1 i did what you said and on the modems section only found 1thing "Agere Systems HDA Modem" that has COM3
its this?

Correct. Now go into the virtual settings and customize the hardware as described in step 5. And use COM3 as your COM port
