AMAZING MAN !

Sturmwind released, and now Planet Ring back online... there must be a god of the Dreamcast out there ! ²

would you be able to do the same with other great online games such as:

Alien Front Online
Ooga Booga
Outtrigger
Chu Chu Rocket
....
and why not Propeller Arena !!!

that would be a dream come true ! :o
Not only did we get Sturmwind and this back online we have already gotten DUX 1.5 and the other games like Pier Solar, ReDUX, Leona's Tricky Adventure, Neo XYX, and Ghost blade that launch this year make this one of the best years the system has seen since it died. Heck maybe even before it died!!

Thanks for this guys, also is there anywhere to find just the binary besides extracting it from the image? I am kinda curious to look a little more into it but the Google site is gone, that and I want to add a new logo.mr into the ip.bin to reflect the disc I made in photoshop, just a simply but cool looking EarthCall logo. I think these disc (the other being PSO Hunter's License Check Bypass disc) are simply genius. Thanks for all your hard work the entire team and even if another game never happens it is nice to know we still and will continue to have this and a handful of other games. It has never been so easy since the Netopia/TLS setup was revealed. Man it is a good time to be a Dreamcast fan!!

EDIT

Scratch the need for the binary. I didn't even have to dissect the CDI to get the ip.bin it was all left on the disc for a nice and easy extraction. No need to fire up a VM to use CDIRip. Thanks again!!

Nice work to all involved. I was able to connect today and play around a little bit. Seems like a fun lighthearted game. Perfect for the casual DC gamer...just have to convince them to get online now :)

Well, both the Planet Ring patcher and the PSO Patcher disc are basically the exact same program. Hence why the Planet Ring one says that it is the "Sylverant Planet Ring Patcher v1.2" (and why the source code link for it links to the PSO Patcher source code) ;)

And they are pretty clever, if I must say so myself (I say as I pat myself on the back for coming up with the way of doing the PSO Patcher in the first place).

You must have the original game and the patch disc is located on the very main page.

Yep sure do the guys are totally against any form of piracy though it is for a system dead for over a decade. Optical disc dont have an infinite life span so it would be nice if they allowed backups of this and PSO online as the boot disc for both checknto make sure they are legit.

I don't own a copy of Planet Ring yet because I only have a BBA and didn't think it would work with it, BUT! I received this email from a subscriber of mine on Youtube. Does it hold any water?
He said the following:

i think you can play it with your bba .. use the code breaker disk loader disk and code breaker ..

on the dreamcast use the broser and google http://www.schtserv.com/download.php

download the vmu files

once you get that you are able to use the servers.

1. pop in the code breaker disk loader
2. pop in the code breaker disk
3. enable psoeu1
4. then put in planet ring.

then use the code is 999999999 all 9s and you should be able to connect and play even with your bba..

good luck :P

Now I personally would buy a legit copy anyhow, and not download it. But does the rest of the information make sense? I don't want to buy it unless I know there is a chance of it working. = )
