ok. i got the dc-talk patched iso to burn right, found my old keyboard adapter, and will pay 5-10 bucks for a dreamcast mouse. i am using a modem with a free dialup from california (i am in pennsylvania). i will join you all on friday and play. if i am lagging too much, i will play on my xbox with the dc map pack. not paying 200 for a broadband adapter. just saying. i really hope i can not lag too much on my connection. if i found a free dialup closer to pennsylvania, would i get better ping times? hope my investment in a dreamcast mouse pays off

i have a pc ported version on my original xbox and the dc map pack and can input the ip address manually. i will try that if my lag is too horrible on a modem.

AFAIK the xbox quake 3 port uses patch version 1.32. DC uses version 1.16n. The clients are incompatible. You won't see our server on there or be able to play against DC players.
