I wanted the data to be read faster from the virtual VMU, but it turned out that this does not work for everyone.
will have to slow down to the speed of the original controller
i'll look forward to test that and will let you know the results with my really shot cable and stock length cable

interesting thing seems to have happened :D
if i have a VMU in my controller in port 1 (didn't test other ports) then my vmu emulator board in slot 4 shows up at boot and seems to be stable yet without a VMU in my controller it doesn't so yeah that's a thing lol
any thoughts?

I think it will be better if it works with the vanilla cable without glitches, wait until megavolt85 matches the speed of the original controller.

Hoping there'll be a physical release of this at some point. Megavolt85 is doing amazing work with this.

once the firmware is working 100% i will release the files for my board:

i also have a design for a controller adapter version.

Awesome. Will your version be able to access the extra maple functions like CDZ buttons and the right stick? That would be a must have at that point.

I look forward to when you release. How much would you be charging per unit?

all that stuff is on the firmware side so you'll have to speak to megavolt85 about that, as to my pcbs i will just be releasing the files so you can make your own.
i don't have any experience selling and shipping stuff so i don't think i will be doing that but i did make the board pretty noob friendly so anyone should be fine putting it together, apart from the M25PE16 you can use through hole stuff for the rest and the 0 Ohm resistor spot can just be bridged with solder.
the 16v cap and 10uf mlcc spots are just optional.

edit:
also just to clarify, the pcb you see above is only for vmu emulation and dumping:

Ah. I'm unable to solder anything, as proven by consoles I've murdered in the past. I'll have to hope someone builds these in the future.
