Don't forget Pride, unless you unlocked him already.beanboy wrote:Rouge flying on a magic carpet, will always be cool in Powerstone 1.
The wide amount of crazy combos, moves and super moves, and that whole adventure story feel, made me like Powerstone 1 alot more than the sequel. I wish all of those things, were carried over in Powerstone 2 and weren't taken out. I'm glad Mel is playable in Powerstone 2. I haven't unlocked her yet though. Haven't played the Chef dude yet too. But I like that cowboy dude even up to this day. Out of all the new characters introduced in Powerstone 2, he is definitely my style. Lol!
I love both games almost equally but over time came to appreciate the sequel even more perhaps due to the sheer amount of unlockable content and replay value.
The game really shines thru Co-Op battles. I use to frequent a local Arcade who had the game on a head 2 head Naomi setup for 2 players. I would go with my cousin and Co-Op to unlock most of the Arcade content. It was alot of fun and interesting getting acclimated to the game's native 3 button layout.
I prefer to play this game on a DC housing a Yamaha disc drive as I've experience first hand playing it on anything other than that causes some questionable load times between stages. It's a very odd anomaly.
According to a ODCM publication, you can have 4 player matches online via two console's being connected, so the server supports up to 2 players on each console for 4 player support.dark wrote: In any case, I heard that the Japanese version only supported 2 players online rather than 4, can anyone confirm or disprove this esoteric fact?
I wish someone could get this game online on real hardware someday.
