Has anyone used the SD card adapter through the Dreamcast serial port instead of a GDEMU? Because of the lack of GD-ROM drive thrashing, is even the slow SD card adapter through the serial port much quicker than CD-r? For a game that doesn't disable RAM Saving (Saint Seiya, I think maybe Ripfire's TMNT The Hyperstone Heist), what's the speed difference between the SD card adapter and the CD-r?

In theory, the disk drive is faster in access story but it is also slower in searching for files, so SD meets both points in an acceptable way.
In a few words: GDEMU > SD Card > GD-ROM

This is just a thought, Ripfire/Ian Michael, but could a CD-r burned copy of a game use the virtual cache on the sd card too? I know the Dreamshell CD-r can run files off the SD card, so I'm wondering if that could work for CD too? I don't know why anybody would use both a CD-r and an SD card, but you could have maybe the game and audio from the CD and the .pak or loading files from the SD card? I'm not sure that that's very practical, but I'm curious if that's technically possible.

Well, I'm trying to implement it in FBA for DreamCast, using WINCE as a support base. Although it really only worked for CPS2 games and not for MVS.

Why did he remove everything? This is EXACTLY what Smith pulled when he left the community close to 10 years ago lol. Damn this is a shame his ports and mods were great.

I agree ripfire's ports and mods are indeed awesome.

Well in another thread I rememeber him replaying to you saying he had some sort of unreleased homebrew game working but it was only for himself and he would never release it. This also reminds me of the rumored Worms Pinball game for the DC that some 'collector' owns. I mean who am I to say this is what you should do with your video games , but at the very least once something is uploaded it should be preserved in some way. Luckily ChristinaDreamcustDC and Ian Michael saved some of those games this one in particular has been saved, as well I will share a ling for it here. Also I saved three of the Dungeons and Dragons mods that were made and I will do the same with those.
