PS1 version is terrible
Granted it is amazing for the system, but it is all clipping & stuttering. It doesn’t even reach the DC’s ankles in terms of hseer performance & polish. SR & Shadow Man are examples of PS1 games done justice on the DC…
I´d add in that group of enhanced ports from lesser powerful hardware to DC that make justice to the original game: Pro Skater 1 and specially 2, Spider-Man, Mortal Kombat Gold, Tech Romancer, Plasma Sword ....and the best of all: Soul Calibur (remember SC comes from System 12, which is a "PS1 Pro"). But SC is leagues ahead of any of them, because they created a proper 128 bit worth game, using 32 bit original engine as a base...With SR1 they made a great job, but still crossgen graphics...SR2 was the game meant to take advatange of DC hard, but then it flopped....I say the same in all the forums im in, is there nobody from the industry here? we need to make it happen (SR2 DC)
I agree with those games as well.. I think people got rose colored glasses on ps1 games .. if you put therm side by side with the dc upgraded ports there so far above..
Not sure what people are talking about most of the time..
It’s called blind fanboyism
I’m a Sega fan too, have been since the early 80’s, but if a game is better on another system, it is better on another system, it works in every direction. I’m the first to admit that Raystorm & In the Hunt are way better on the Playstation than on the Saturn, Crazy Taxi is better on the OG Xbox than on the DC, Shadow Man is better on the DC than on the Playstation & n64, Thunder Force 3 on the Mega Drive destroys Thunder Spirits on the Snes, Ys 3 on the PCE is way better than both its Mega Drive & Snes counterparts, and so on…it’s called being objective LoL

I see i agree with every thing you said above hehe.. I'm a fan but i would not let that get in the way of fact lol..
I'm so sorry, I didn't know you guys have already been counting all the triangles for this. I love the work you all do in this community so I don't mind being ignored. My perspective is confusing but it's helpful for me to brainstorm ideas by writing, I'll show more love now.
So it's confirmed running on a Dreamcast console but I was really hoping to understand how well a Dreamcast renders builds of games made for other consoles. For example PSX Bleemcast! looks insanely better to me than original PSX graphics. I'd rather play Gran Turismo 2 on a Dreamcast console even though it's a PSX exclusive, but I don't know if it's really the PSX build running on a Dreamcast console with Bleemcast! doing code conversions or something (some of the cdi selfboots for Dreamcast games supposedly have decryption code) , or if Bleemcast! Gran Turismo is an actual build in itself with increased triangle count.
Especially if the Soul Reaver 1 Dreamcast build is really better than PC, I can imagine they might start with assets or whatever they can take from Dreamcast to start making the Soul Reaver sequel on PS2, so if you had the early development PS2 build and run it back on the Dreamcast hardware using Bleemcast! or whatever it takes, I wonder if it could look the same as Soul Reaver 1 on Dreamcast where the files at least in my head potentially originated.
I almost don't want to post this at all because I don't want to bother you too much. I don't need to fully understand just asking if it's possible to rebuild a PS2 build of SR2 for Dreamcast and run it on Dreamcast to have the same triangle count as SR1 originally had on Dreamcast. To me, anything is possible after seeing some of the projects being brought to Dreamcast and looking so amazing.
Now to discuss the game itself,
Soul Reaver I only played a couple hours of the RDC hack it's beautiful man. The character looks intense when pushing boxes also sideways box pushing with no wrist strain may be even stronger than Lara Croft except she pulls some pretty big boxes so that's impressive as well
