Chinese cloned Dreamcast - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treamcast. So why they couldn't clone a simple part?

The Treamcast is just old Dreamcast placed into a new shell.
As for Tec-Toy, they're officially licensed by Sega.

You guys need to understand this isnt simple stuff. There a reason why you don see on ebay clones of playstations, xboxes... Piracy is easy for SOFTWARE. You can hardly do piracy on hardware..
So far ive only seen clones of sega genesis. How old is that shit?
You might see a dreamcast clone.. In 10 more years.
Stop dreaming. Its not because its the DREAMcast you can dream of anything and expect it to be real. The real thing is: if you want broadband on your dc, PAY. Thats it.

Just look at all history console ever built: third party companies only make accessories, but simple as controllers, headset.. that kind of stuff.. Prove me if im wrong, but ive NEVER seen a non official modem for any console.

Well to be fair, only a handful of consoles had internet access capabilities but didn't have internal modems.

Yeah, that is true, what like 6 or 7 consoles now that could get online right from the box?AdamKoralik wrote:Well to be fair, only a handful of consoles had internet access capabilities but didn't have internal modems.
While I have little to no hope we could ever get a 3rd party Broadband adapter, it is not impossible with the right mind behind the wheel.
Just look at the progress that has been made with the Dreamshell OS and those homemade SanDisk adaptors! Who would have thought that guy's at home would make something so complex at home!? A solid state harddrive for Dreamcast is now a reality!

You need to fucking be optomistic lol! Look, do I think Sega is making a new console? Hell no, but I don't try to crush the dreams of others just becuase they can't see the light and see things as rationaly as I do. I learned to let them do their thing, and I'll do my thing.

Re: Force a 3rd Party to make a DC BBA
Hey guys, how are you.
I think the idea is a good one, but like Dr. P said, it ain't happening. It is too bad that we have to resort to other means to do this magical internet stuff, but that is where it is. I am currently looking for a voice modem (I'm only trying it once). If I fail, it's IOLAN time. This may be that last hope, once thing is certain, though...
If the IOLAN works, it can get you on more online DC games than the BBA so it would have a greater value than the BBA and more than likely be more stable - in theory.
We'll see.
