Worst Dreamcast game EVER ?

I really don't know if one of those games is the worst DC game ever, but I there are two games that drives me mad: Fighting Force and Suzuki Allstare Racing.

My God, Super Runabout was tripe, it looked so bad and the gameplay was terrible. Confidential Mission was equally bad, Only had 3 boring levels of the same shooting stuff, and was so terribly dull.

There are moments in Shenmue when I wonder why the hell I'm playing it, it gets very slow and boring at times, although the graphics and fight scenes make up for it. (I don't believe no pain no gain should apply to gaming!).

Outtrigger is probably my third worst game. The controls are unbearable (although admittedly they can be changed), but the levels are tiny, story uninspiring and just doesn't touch UT. Multiplayer is equally terrible.

yeah i have already said that people are naming games they didn't care for or just didn't like. folks need to be objective and only name games that would be considered (worst). just because someone personally doesn't like racers they will come in and name off Metropolis street racer. im about to delete the whole thread. maybe have it start over with strict rules on what counts as (worst). i have been biting my tongue for the most part though.

Didnt feel like reading the whole thing so I will just ask you here.What requirements are needed for a game to be considered worst of the worst?Low production values? glitched to the point of being unplayable?Frame rate being so unstable that makes the game unplayable?Stuff like that or what? But isnt asking which is the worst game purely subjective?

yes, cloofoofoo it is subjective. some of the things you named would make a game qualify as bad. but if a game has one or even two of those things it won't automatically make it one of the worst games ever. some examples of poorly thought out game posts that were added to this thread are shenmue and sonic adventure. sonic was named as one of the worst games, in essence, because the poster was a mario fan. shenmue was named on here because

i don't know about you but i don't see how that makes it deserving of a title of being the worst Dreamcast game ever. the point that i am making here is that it is far less subjective that you might think. could their findings make them bad games in the eyes of the reviewer, sure, but should it fall into a worst game ever category? if sonic or shenmue belong on your worst Dreamcast game list, you need to stop posting on this forum and go play more Dreamcast games. clearly they have not tried some of the universally bad DC games.


i think that if a game is truly bad and deserving of being placed on anyone's worst game ever list. it wouldn't be all that subjective to anyone. far more than half of the gamers would agree that the game belongs on this said list. sure some people will like a game even if it is bad and on the other hand some people will hate a good game. you need to be objective when adding a game to a list like this. is the game truly that bad or is it that you don't like the game for some reason?


i personally don't like final fantasy games after the NES, but i wouldn't add them to any consoles worst game ever list. why you might ask? just because i don't like it doesn't mean that i can't see the appeal of the games.

Ah, I see now.Kinda how I hate metal gear solid(series) bad story telling and controls(thats just my opinion) but in no way do I consider it the worst game ever.Hmm what would you say if I was to name urban chaos as one of the worst dc games?I mean it looks and plays terrible, and the story is so-so.

i haven't had the chance to play it yet. i watched a few videos a while back and from what i could see the game looked interesting. i think someone else already named it on here so idk. personally i would think that you could find worse games though? the game i named was wild metal. im fairly sure a few people might have enjoyed wild metal. the problem with it is that you have to read the manual to know what to do. i bought my copy disc only, so i played the game for well over an hour not knowing wtf to do or where to go. this and a few other things ruined the game experience for me. i even revisited the game a few times hoping i could figure it out with no luck. in the end i found out what i needed to know from the web. i can't say for sure that wild metal would be on everyone's worst list or not? i am fairly sure that it would be on many of those who have tried it. i also named the flintstones. the flintstones was so bad that the developers decided to not release it. if i am not mistaken it was finished and instead of fixing it they opted to toss it.

Naming Sonic Adv. as the worst game ever, because the guy is Mario Fan is just too much for me. But I have too agree with the other guy on Shenmue. Is Shenmue a technically proeficient game, considering its place in time? Yes, it is. And I dare to say Shenmue is the number one or two, in a technical aspect, side by side with the original Zelda for Nes. Do I like Shenmue? I don't have an answer yet. It is a beautiful game, but because of its pace, it just drives me nuts! For some players, a slow (really slow) pace can ruin to death a beautiful game. For me, Shenmue, because of its pace, isn't for everyone. I accept and understand his vote.
