And yes I'm in the US. Are you able to buy from eBay USA? That's where I found mine. I think I got really lucky though, as I saw both of mine within about a 4 week timespan and snatched them both up at a decent price. I saw one the other day on eBay, but it was part of a larger bundled lot of DC stuff.
I know here on eBay there are quite a few Mad Catz MC2 Wheels listed for the XBox. But I'm sure if you are patient enough, one for the DC will pop up eventually.

The Madcatz wheel that we seem to have here in England has a cemicircular wheel, and is not very pretty. It's not the MC2, and is called the DREAM WHEEL. Adam koralik looks at it here:
That's an earlier MadCatz wheel. I have twi of them. Quite good but the later mc2 is supposedly better.

I think it's just nice aesthetically to have two wheels of the same brand, yeah? It also makes sure the playing field is level in two player.

Yeah the usual loser excuse is "your pad/stick/wheel is better than mine". No excuse when all players have the same stuff.

Here's my overview on the Ferrari F355 Wheel (made 2 years ago)
I substitute the stock pedals for a set from Thrustmaster's later PS2 Ferrari wheel. For me, only a couple of games benefit from using a wheel - Ferrari F355 and Sega GT - as wheel programming was often done as an afterthought.

Actually I do much better playing Daytona 2001 with a Madcatz pad as it's easier to shift gears..here's a run I did way back when:
Mind you a Japanese player managed very well with the official wheel however our times were fairly close.
