This list is subject to change. Quite often I post things like this, and then look at my games collection and think "Damn! I should have said that one"

But off the top of my head

1) Quake 3
2) Phantasy Star Online
3) Soul Calibur
4) Crazy Taxi
5) Unreal Tournament

And an honourable mention goes to DC Evo Quake (if we're including homebrew)

Here are my top 5 games:

1. Shenmue 1 & 2
2. Jet Grind Radio
3. Ooga Booga
4. Dynamite Cop
5. Crazy Taxi

Other great games include Soul Calibur, Hydro Thunder, Alien Front Online, Seaman (Odd but cool), and my most recent favorite Phantasy Star Online.

Omikron the Nomad Soul has always been a favorite of mine, in fact, I'd say its really what turned me onto Dreamcast, the storyline can get a little kooky at points but the environment, soundtrack, and the sandbox aspects to the game were awesome, they really immersed you into the culture of Omikron, I felt like I was really there.

Crazy Taxi and Jet Grind Radio are two other favorites of mine as well. Provided that you can master the controls.

I only started Dreamcast gaming last month, but right now it has to be Power Stone 2

Make sure you check out the original Power Stone. The second was a bit too hectic for me, but both are excellent games.

Also, welcome. There's not really any "main" Dreamcast site with all the information you'll be looking for, so don't hesitate to ask if there's something you can't find.

I totally agree with you. Fantastic game.

I just got Shenmue..I havent played it yet. But supposedly, this is the reason to buy a dreamcast. And the best game for the dreamcast so we shall see how it pans out.

There really isn't a game quite like Shenmue. The only analog nowadays I would have to say is Heavy Rain on PS3, but the Yakuza series is like the spiritual successor to the Shenmue franchise, it uses many elements Sega learned from making Shenmue 1 and 2.

Anyway, Shenmue is a reason to own a Dreamcast, it was the first game I finished on the system in 3 days back in 2000 right after buying it.
