Re: Has anyone tried this trick with PSO ver 2 before?

Mind you I've yet to play any of AI's quests. But AI is a friend of mine and I know he made the quests because he really wanted to, not for the sole purpose of making some of the unobatinable blocked items obtainable. Though, from how this conversation has been going that aspect has apparently worked its way into his quests.
As a legit player, I do find it concerning that one could obtain items through play of these quests which would flag them as illegitmate players. However, one could simply dispose of these questionable items to regain legit status across all of the servers. Or, perhaps not considered, if you wish to keep said items and not be flagged elswhere, create a character just for use on the one server where said items are regarded as legit and store all of said items in that one characters inventory.
What it all boils down to is a conflict of past knowledge. Many of us (myself included), who were deeply engrossed with PSO back when it was still officially online, are well versed in what items Sonic Team blocked out from availability in PSO V2. Meaning items that do actually exist in the game's coding but for reasons never made clear were banned from being obtainable, items such as the Elenor Mag and the Black Ring. To this day the question remains why they even left these items in the coding when they had no intention of making them available. Mostly at least, we do have a reasonable idea as to why the Black Ring was banned, check it's stats:

Black Ring gives the bearer the highest EVP and DFP combined of any other known V2 shield along with high Ice resistance. Making it the perfect shield to have equipped when going up against DF. We theorize, that in play testing, Sonic Team discovered that this made Ultimate Mode DF much to easy for whoever had this item equipped so it got banned.
But getting to the point, persons who never got very deeply into PSO, or perhaps never played V2 back in the era are unlikely to be aware of the mystery regarding the banned items and may be entirely unaware that some of the items obtainable through these quests were ever banned in the first place. Leading to legit players playing these quests, excitedly obtaining these "rare" items, and then becoming baffled as to why all of the other servers now have them flagged as illegitimate players. I think the key here is to remember that just because someone has obtained possesion of these items through AI's quests doesn't make that person an illegitimate player. My suggestion is that if this is of such a great concern that the quests should have a disclaimer added in their quest descriptions at the Guild counter. Sort of like this:
"Certain items which can be obtained through successful completion of this quest may be flagged as hacked items by other PSO ships."
I believe a simple disclaimer like that would resolve this issue and clear up any confusion.
Personally, I look forward to eventually getting back online and playing the new quests on Altimira, and any other new quests that have been made that I'm not yet aware of. Will I keep any of the special items from AI's quests? Sure, I've got plenty of VMU's, so as suggested I'll just make a new character to transfer the inventory of questionable items to and use that character exclusively on Altimira, simple as that.
