That pretty much sums it up! I previously thought you had to get head shots to get the multiplier but it appears as long as you don't miss, it keeps going up.

Not a glitch. The accuracy score accounts for the double hit you got.

Hmmm, that may explain the 106.2% but what about the boss accuracy rating? That was 104.7% and I obviously didn't get a double hit there. Is that the accuracy rating for the whole stage?

It's the accuracy for the entire continue, not just the stage.

Ah I see. It's still possible that it's a glitch though. You don't know if the developers intended for the accuracy to include double hits. I recall a level I played after this where I missed a shot and I still got a 100% accuracy rating. That doesn't make much sense. Oh well.
