Right, so it's immediately failing while looking up the DNS.
I'll look into it!

Awesome. Thanks for the update. When I visit the states in winter ill get the parts to build one of these. Im hoping one of my DC models has the proper modem so I dont need to add a line voltage inducer to the mix

Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
I'm pretty sure all modems need voltage for this. But the voltage induction seems harder than it is

Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
The latest version of DreamPi fixes the problem with the Windows CE games (Starlancer, 4x4 Evo, and Maximum Pool) taking multiple attempts to connect! They all connect on the first attempt now! So happy about this!
I'm officially using the DreamPi as my primary connection method instead of the Netopia.

Now I regret investing for that netopia router and phone line simulator.pcwzrd13 wrote:The latest version of DreamPi fixes the problem with the Windows CE games (Starlancer, 4x4 Evo, and Maximum Pool) taking multiple attempts to connect! Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
The phone line simulator is still handy to have because you can use it in place of the line voltage inducer. That way you don't have to deal with replacing batteries.scaryred24 wrote: Now I regret investing for that netopia router and phone line simulator.
