Don't just buy the first converter you find though. Do some research.
Go for a converter with as little input delay as possible.
And try to find one that doesn't mangle the image in the process.

Do you think it'd be worth getting another VGA box? I mean I don't know how good this one is, or weather there is a measurable amount of quality between brands.
I'm not sure what make this one is, there doesn't seem to be any indication of brand.

I have this one and it works just fine...

Before that I had the one below. Actually, I had 3 of them. All of them died on me. Avoid this shitty cable.

Still, if your cable works on another screen I see no reason to buy a different one.
