I'm quite busy moving these days, so I didnt work much on the server. Ive managed to find informations on the coders who did the port, so I will be able to contact some of them. (But the main programmer is dead, I hope he wasnt the one responsible for the server code). The petition doesnt get signed fast enough, but still, at least it seems like something honest. I will send it to Epic/Secret Level soon for some informations on the server. What Im planning to do now is the following : Theres a website specialised in Unreal Tournament modders. Ill post there proposing them to try making a server for UTDC, and if it works, selling it to us. If someone does manage to make a working server (and proves it, like host it for a while) Ill ask the different dreamcast online communities to make donation boxes until we can reach a good amount, like 1 000$. Ill also start to learn how to mod UT servers, just in case the two first options (petition for info and the UT modders website) fail.

What do you think?

Yes I think personally contacting the team that worked on the DC version would be a good idea. But that's really unfortunate the main programmer is dead. Hopefully the others will have enough knowledge and be willing to help on their own time.

Posting on a UT forum would be a good idea but you will probably get flamed.

If there turns out that things could really happen and money is needed then yeah donations would be a good way although, OC would be out because Nikon would not allow that. And that's where most of the DC people that would be interested in UT online are at, or used to be.

UT is still my number 1 game. I hope this would return, but I believe it's not going to happen.

I agree with Dobbs. It is still totally worth a
shot. I believe it is also a great idea to try
talking to the creaters of UT or.. whom ever you
said you wanted to talk to.

Thanks for your support.
I will start all that next week hopefully, as right now I'm busy with school/work/moving to another appartment.
I'll contact you about that next week.
Keep faith, nobody really tried hard to put back UT online, there's still hope ;)

Sorry guys, I haven't got much free time recently, plus my Dreamcast doesn't work too well now, so I didn't continue working on the server (nor asked others to do it for money). Well, I just came here to write that I'm still alive and that I still want to complete that project.

Hey, good to hear your still alive and willing :) . That sucks about your DC. Lets us know of any updates with the project. Sorry I can't be of much service.
