Got GUI v1.7 did the VM2 firmware. Got GUI v1.7.1
I can't get the microSD in. A hulk thumbnail press won't click screen keeps flashing on as I try
It sees the card but will not secure
EDIT: Well damn I only could with the included tool that also does factory reset I think
I know I'm early adopter but not subtle as I hoped

By golly wow, this is amazing
So with Speud's VMU Explorer that too is bundled in VM2 GUI I can make VMU files so getting all those curious saves from GameFAQs into Dreamcast has never been easier, VM2 GUI Explore uSD contents rightclick Transfer to uSD
I won't *ever* eject the microSD, I tested again this morning and insertion is a hefty squeeze force click by a fumble
All I need is for PSOv2 to revert save to copy protected then freed again on BIOS for no-bootdisc backing up to extra genuine VMU. Online mode rejects you otherwise, everything I purchased this for sixteen months ago

Hey, I got a possible fix for you. I attach the FW file for you to test it.
Make sure you have GameID enabled on the VM2 Memory settings, otherwise the fix won't work.
Please let me know if this works OK..

If you have a tool shaped like this, it can be quite easy to eject/insert microSD.

Ahh sorry, attached test FW no different better nor worse the protection doesn't set on game start
Yes always GameID is set is checkmarked I love the automation since IDs are not easily memorized

If I'm not mistaken, in the video you only copied one PSO file (the .SYS one).
Maybe you should copy all PSO-related files, and then try again?
Also, I assume that the selected VM2 file you are copying to, is also the one used within the PSO game?

The only one PSO needs and uses is the .SYS is character all others is unrelated offline quests
Yes it's the autoloaded one on game start
EDIT: HEY!!!!!!!!! I deleted all except SYS and made it online!. Testing further
No, I don't know why, online rejected once again

Well.. I made it online after three tries nothing attempted in between no Speud disc (every fail nukes deletes mesetas the ingame currency have maxed 999999)
Testing.. quitting and rebooting game
EDIT: Nope, game first bootup is not setting copy protect it never makes the first online attempt
I could make the $999999 back but as of now it always rejects first try, second try I am in

Ok, the VM2 doesn't set the temporary protection, it's the game that does after first fail
