Big thanks to everyone involved with this! Looking forward to trying it out! I had played through a bit of the game using an English walkthrough but it's obviously less than ideal. lol

I've been playing the GDI used the Optimisator for my Serial Adaptor.

Please provide more details on the platform you are playing it on, and if available a save game.

I was a young 25 yo student then, now i'm 48 with 2 children... never forgot about Rent A Hero and now i'll share the experience with them!

Okay went into the Rabbit Hole with this one cannot get up that staircase at all.
So this is the Memory Setting I advised using. OXCFE8000, DMA On, Sync 16 & Loader 11.
I went ahead used the one save available on the Blue Swirl disc. I was using different settings when I got to the continue VMU options my Dreamcast reset upon itself! So I put up those setting above was able to reach load menu & use the save file.
Unfortunately that save lead me to upstairs into the FPV. The game decided to teleport me all over the upstairs level. I got downstairs couldn't advanced any further!
Don't use old save files for new built up mod you likely to say. Doesn't matter I took the time to do this. Hate to say the GDI unplayable on the SD Serial Adaptor.
Been playing the Mega Drive version prior to this was looking forwards to this. Hopefully this bug report useful.

To EMULATORS USERS only:
Regarding
freezing issues on Redream / Retroarch / Flycast:
1) Menus looks dark
2) Crash at NOW LOADING screen
3) Freeze after using the subway
In order to play the game in emulators,
you need to use a bios file, NOT HLE bios!
BIOS FILE:

I can confirm what Dirge Of Ram said. The game unfortunately doesn't work with DreamShell (SD or IDE mod). It's not specific to the translated version though. The same issue with not being able to go upstairs occurs on any version of the game. Hilariously if you load a save file where you're already upstairs, it will put you downstairs with the camera upstairs. lol
I've let SWAT know about this so maybe he can look into it and get it working with the new 0.8 loader.
