taken from 1st post: For official GDEMU with new software need add "image_tests=0" in your gdemu.ini
On my Chinese knockoff both work fine.

On my Chinese knockoff both work fine.
I don't know what this is nor how to change files or anything of the sort. If you have the file that I need to insert in my SD or whatever it is that I have to do, can you tell me what it is that I have to do or give me a download link with the file already changed? Also, I'm not using the GDemu menu with this SD card I'm using, since I currently can't change the menu or anything because I'm using a mac. Thank you very much!

Just thought i would mentioned i finished the game on two players on the cdi version. For some reason for me it runs perfect with almost no stuttering on two players. Maybe its the quality of my disc considering someone mentioned their phillips cdr allowed them to play the game with no freezing. It usually freezes during one player mode.
Overall its a good release and thank you megavolt. Also hope to see the next releases on cdi.
Maybe next week ill try those.

For everyone who is struggling with burning .cdis > i am from german dreamcast forum. We traded a lot of ideas and trys for the last years in terms of good burning, so try this:
Disc "verbatim cd-r 700mb" + discjuggler + lowest burning speed (best is something under 10x) + overburn. U will not waste a single disc with this method. Even shenmue .cdis go perfect with that. Nobody needs 99+ discs.

This GDI release is almost perfect, thank you for doing it. The only aspect missing to make it perfect for me is to lower the lives count from 14 to 2 lives, or maybe 3 or 4, but usually Metal Slug games account 2 lives per credit so I think that's the best possible choice. Can anyone appoint an hex edit to modify the initial lives value per credit? I couldn't find it.
Also hopping for all these in the CDI release, but I suppose first @yzb is trying to perfect it so it doesn't have freezes at all.
Hey, I just tested it and it already has the lives count lowered to 2 per credit instead of 14. I stand corrected, this release is now perfect! Maybe you should edit the description just to let people know.
Now, I'll wait for a CDI release without freezes and which mirrors these settings.

First of all: thanks megavolt85!
I have changed the settings to my liking on your most current release [2020-11-03], and was wondering how I can revert the Pause and Debug menu to X+Y instead of start? Could anyone provide a hex edit?
This because I set up the game to 2 lives, and when I press Start to continue it Pauses the game and opens the Debug menu.
Any help would be appreciated!

The only slight problem with mapping the debug menu to the Start button is that when you want to continue after losing all lives, you pause the game and have to exit out of the debug menu to get back to the game and character select screen. Not the end of the world, but still annoying.

I tried making a .ini file (I own a mac) but still it says "Please insert disc". I don't know what I'm doing wrong, anyone please help me!
