I never can get GDIs with ISOs instead of BINs to run on my USB-GDROM. It's not just this release, any GDI that doesn't use BIN files simply won't finish loading for me.
Did you try all of the recommended tips from the trouble shooting thread? Also, are you on the newest firmware?:

Troubleshooting
CDI's work but GDI's won't load - If after update GDI Images not working-that means you need also additional update. https://yadi.sk/d/bjF1gxE7rFQt2

Games won't load but the menu starts - Reformat your device with FAT32 and 64 clusters
The Dreamcast heats up - Check out above for a Resistor mod or PicoPSU mod.
USB GDROM won't work correctly, sometimes not booting and/or loading games - This can be caused by a bad DC internal battery

Maybe you bought it for a long time and you don't have a fresh firmware?

Just boots and then locks at the Dreamcast logo.

Is it me, the ODE firmware, or something else? Is it non-trivial to convert the ISOs to BIN for USB-GDROM, or is that the way I should be going? What tool would be best for that?

Thx for any advice!
Currently the only Atomiswave port I cannot run on the USB-GDROM is Metal Slug 6, I do have some issues with non related home-brew/indie CDI's though

They released the atomiswave roms ? I thought they only released atomiswave conversions to naomi of those two games.

Where did you see these? I seriously am hoping for Chicago 1929 to surface. Supposedly it was found and dumped, but those people were holding onto it for over 3 years and not releasing into the wild. Have you heard anything about that particular game? It is really fun and looked complete to me despite being canceled.

Is there a way to change the Pause/Debug back to the default Button4 + Button5 of the first release? Hex patching, maybe?

Just so the game doesn't pause when we press Start to use a continue.

Don't have news about Chicago 1929 :(

Emuline forum show only KenJu and Force Five. Tested games in FlyCast/Demul/Makaron and NullDC (Atomiswave To Naomi).

Btw force five doesnt freeze if you play it on demul. I finished it all the way to the credits just fine.

But i dont think this help megavolt. He needs original atomiswave files not naomi netboot conversion.
