Yes, a cartridge results in less RAM needed for the console as the cartridge contains RAM to run the game, and the console just supplies power to the cartridge and uses ITS RAM to run the game, display the video, and button inputs. The cartridges RAM does what the console doesnt have enough to do, such as half of the games functions

The heck are you talking about? The n64 carts are simply a storage medium. They are fast which is why they just pull assets on fly with that crazy speed.

I would like to throw in 'Ogre Battle 64' to the mix. The closest we got on the DC was Hundred Swords and that was never localized in the West. Feel Ogre Battle would be a great addition to the systems library, simple controls as well.

This loads every thing in system ram on boot not using the cdr after that.. so got direct speed of system ram..

Not any problem here .. DC sound system ram is 40x slower then system ram do the math..

And all that is irrelevant to what i was saying. Guy up there is confusing the rom cart for ram. Iam saying its not ram but that the cart speeds is insanely fast which is they can load assets from wherever of the cart on the fly. The same even holds true for stuff like naomi carts that have like 20MB/s read speed.

Its irrelevant how its being handled on dc like loading the whole cart on memory. A proper port would probably require reworking how things are being loaded so only needed assets would be loaded as needed( like usual n64 ports to dc back in the day).
