Go into the /data/ folder and delete 'config. Bin'.

Official statement from Kazade:
Code: Select all
I'll have to investigate at some point, I think it's something to do with the software on the DreamPi itself, rather than the website. If I remember correctly, it searches back through previous DNS requests, and between the initial connection and it actually going to a website, it will pick up any previous game you might have connected to.
This would explain a decent bit. and snooping through similar posts, it is most likely a URL issue; Completely on the DreamPi end. Even so, i'm going to be pushing out an RC4. I've changed Jet Grind to Jet Set, but Jet Grind should be on the list, along with virtual tennis. I think i'm going to use the Japanese name for that one, though.
I've also fixed a bug where the tool can load an AVATAR from a DPP as the DPP is being built, which causes a 4 second stutter / 'not responding' on Windows for about 6 seconds. It seems to be fixed, anyways.
Kazade is insanely occupied, but there you go, in the meantime. Until then, i can only just improve the stability.
I'm also looking into Android, but this is highly experimental. I'm also going to design a Windows 9X version of the application that does not use threading; PowerPC Macs are out of the question, sadly. It's just impossible to compile for PPC, now-a-days.

Whoops! The Data folder is quite important, so it's best you spare it! but, I'm glad you're up and running! I hope the tool become useful to you.

NCAA College Football 2K2 and World Series Baseball 2K2 both show this odd message. NCAA College Football 2K2 shows in the library at least, but World Series Baseball 2K2 does not.
I had some issues with other US games, but mostly these were ones with websites not yet back online, which has already been stated to be a problem for Companion to register.

Oh. It's stopped functioning. Anytime I try to boot Dreampi Companion it shuts itself down automatically. I even rebooted my PC to make sure it wasn't a fault on my end. Any ideas?

You're a wonderful tester; The next release will give you a special rank display under library, when people click on you/
Looked into this, NCAA had a spelling error! Whoops! - Should detect now, in the new release.
What other games specifically? Did they show up in your library? If they aren't in your library either, it's definitely on the DreamPi side of things. DreamPi Companion just grabs information from the website; It's a desktop GUI.
Can you post a screen shot of the unsupported ID for World Series baseball? It might be a misspelling. I have it as 'WSB2k2', which is what i commonly see in DPPs. Is it in the library?
@crashing
What were you doing before this? specific game? Could be an ID exception.

It crashed as I tested Cool Boarders Burrrn! The Japanese game includes a website function not shown on other titles. The annoying thing is the app closed automatically at some point, and now it refuses to wake back up. I've rebooted both my PC and the Dreampi but the app refuses to boot.
I'll get you a screenshot of World Series Baseball as soon as my app is working.

Go online with cool boarders; I'll look for you on the website. Then, i'll see if it crashes just viewing it.
I'm working on the code now, so it's a good time to tackle this.
The ID is also probably in your DPP, so if you could re-send it for physical evidence, that'd be groovy.

That's a new DPP for you to peruse.
Logged in now, but again my Companion is not working.
