6 New games from Joshprod

I'm interested to hear your thoughts. I was actually looking at getting this on 3DS, because it's not like the 3DS gets new games, but it was pushed to 2022.

My Nintendo 3DS copy of 'Andro Dunos 2' (and replacement PAL DC cases) was surprised delivered yesterday. I played a bit and it was really good! The 3D effect was nice, and the bottom screen shows a 2D image of your body as if you're sitting in the cockpit, which animates based on the actions you are performing/buttons you are pressing.

Between this and the Switch release, which is getting really good reviews, maybe there's hope for the DC version. I don't think I'd buy this again for DC, but maybe if the port is really good.

Pixelheart have been clearing out their Joshprod stock it seems like. Best time to pick up a few games of theirs; Rocketron €13, Andros Dunos 2 €15, 4x4 Jam €10. Annoyingly I bit the bullet and paid full whack for Rocketron and Andros Dunos 2 earlier in their year, Pixelheart accidentally sent me the AstroPort collection instead of the latter and said I can keep it when they sent out the actual game I bought. Which was awesome of them. So can't be too disappointed.

I've read the port of Andros Dunos 2 isn't the best on Dreamcast. I got 4x4 Jam for about that price from them before, and for that price, it's a good time. How is Rocketron?

Andros Dunos 2 is very good tbh. Not going to match current gen performance, the only downside is a long ass loading screen at the beginning which compensates for little or no loading from then on.

I'm in the camp that the AstroPort games are all good to great games and I'm happy to have them playable in physical format on the Dreamcast. My only issue is that I wish Joshprod had put a bit more care into the ports. Definite good value getting it for effectively free as I've had that collection on a wishist for a while. Rocketron is imo their best game on the Dreamcast for sure, a bit different from their other games being more like a cross between a shmup and Metroidvania. Definitely would say it's a no brainer for what their selling it for ATM.

I also have the AstroPort Collection. I bought that when they had it on sale for nearly 50% a year or two ago, along with 4x4 Jam. It looks like it finally went out of stock, so with only 2000 copies available, according to its store page, it's gone now.

I guess I never paid much attention to Rocketron and just assumed it was another mediocre shmup, because JoshProd was pumping out so many at that time of release. I might have to look into it. How is the port job?

Was meaning to pre order Gladmort so added 4x4 Jam and Armed 7 to the order. Curious to play those.
