Shenmue Passport Is Back Online!!

I've ran into this a awhile back, its a glitch within your dreamcast settings. (I think). Unfortunately the only way I know of that fixes it is to reset the flash memory on your dreamcast. You can use this https://psopalace.sylverant.net/downloads/DCFlash.zip. There are some other ways to reset the Dreamcast flash memory with a dreamcast browser as well. You'll then need to reset up your internet connection then go directly to Shenmue passport first to test and should be resolved.

Tried this and still nothing. I've also tried switching to the US version of the passport and that wont connect either. Not sure whats wrong.

Only other thing I can think of is to reflash your dreampi software. Or try a different dreamcast or modem if possible. I did try to connect again myself just to double check and it appears to be working as intended. Are u using a CD-R or ODE?

EDITED: I reflashed my dreamcast and re-entered my settings using the Web Browser 2.0 instead of the Planetweb 3.0. Now it will successfully dial, finally getting past the screen I posted a picture of before, however after that it just gets stuck on the loading portion of the connection. Ive left it on for about 10 minutes and then it disconnected itself. I am using a GDEMU and a GDI rip of the game from a redump set, so it should be fine.

Planetweb 3.0 is super glitchy so that doesn't surprise me. I either use XDP or Planetweb 2.62 Browser.
Did you change it 2.0 after setting it from 3?

Yes, I cleared my Dreamcasts memory, set it up with Web Browser 2.0 instead. This allowed it to dial, however it would not load anything and disconnected after 10 minutes of nothing happening.

And US Shenmue? What is the situation of this version? I have a japanese DC and i'm thinking which version to buy. I can understand english, but the japanese voices of the game are better than the english version. I would like to play sometimes in japanese too, and i'm trying learn this language. I don't know if there is way to change the languages in the game or just the subtitles. Where would the US shenmue passport connect? It's nice to think that this version is region free and work normally on any DC of any region without boot disc.

Posting again because I'm convinced this doesn't actually work. I have now acquired a second Dreamcast, with a disc drive instead of a GDEMU, tried my real copy of the game, have tried my dreampi on a completely different network, and it still does not work. It gets stuck on Loading after it dials in a connection. Everything else works online, web browsing, playing Quake 3, etc.



Everything is set up right, I've checked over a hundred times now. Tried GDEMU and a real disc. Have tried both NTSC-U and PAL versions of the game. Ive reflashed my Dreampi. Ive tried wired and wireless on different networks. Have reflashed my Dreamcast memory and entered my settings on every single version of the web browser. Nothing. I don't think this works properly, something is wrong and there's no way its just me.

UPDATE: I check the access to my VPS and seems that is down from internet. So In few hours I will try to repair it. Sorry about inconveniences and I will try to fix it soon.
