Problem with PAL modems is the need for two batteries. Most people recommend you buy a US Dreamcast modem for your Dreamcast so you only need 1 battery. You should PM pcwzrd13 on here and see if he will ship to UK. Hes made several for people on here
I personally use a Viking DLE200B phone line sim. And that would work great with your current setup Problem is coming across one for a good price. Ebay is your best bet for these if you decide on a viking
Well i've bought a line simulator the viking one off ebay, and a dell 56k modem, my mate has a raspberry pi which he is lending me so hopefully when i got all the bits and hopefully it works maybe we could hook up for a few games
Does anybody know what the server address was for the official Chu Chu Rocket server? You could always use a CB code to redirect the game so you don't have to rely on DNS redirection.

chuchu.games.dreamcast.com for the North American version and chuchu.games.dream-key.com for the PAL version. The server addresses for most games are listed on http://dreamcast.wikidot.com/.
If you want to upload the 1ST_READ.BIN from Chu Chu Rocket, I could take a stab at making a connection code for dialup users who don't have DreamPI and can't use DNS redirection, assuming the game doesn't have any crazy protections like the ones on PSO.
