It's why I told to french people to support the game anyway and since the begining of the campain because kickstarter won't take the money if the project failed.mazonemayu wrote:But it’s true isn’t it?Roel wrote:And that's how they create a self-fulfilling prophecy. The worst kind of prophecy.![]()

Thanks Roel!, I still didn't break even with Shadow Gangs, in fact, very far from it.Roel wrote:shadowgangs wrote: Thankfully the Dreamcast sales are very good, otherwise Izzy wouldn't even have broken even.
(
But with a Kick success it will

It just needs to break out of this Kickstarter to get in the hand of the non backers. (stores etc...)
I am thinking to make a menu specially as a thank you for backers, sorted from biggest to lowest.
And to fans with names, without them there will be no Shadow Gangs for DC.
Because without them, other wouldn't get the game, especially in physical form, so their contribution is vital.
Aside from this, I don't understand why people are not backing on masse.
The game is ready, it's not in dev, or needs art, or code or anything. It's done, loopable and without issues.
it for the DC, DC doesn't have much 2d ninja games etc...
I mean 1000 backers would make this a success, I don't understand

I think now a lot of people are aware of it.mazonemayu wrote:Same here man, shared it in all the belgian groups I’m infafadou wrote:It's why I told to french people to support the game anyway and since the begining of the campain because kickstarter won't take the money if the project failed.mazonemayu wrote:

So it if is not backed in big numbers, it means there is a problem somewhere.
What is it, I don't know.

I don’t understand either, it should be running like a train by now…I mean look how Paprium is (still) doing, and they don’t even have a DC version yet, it still needs to be ported and most people hate those guys
Also it would be a shame if the kickstarter doesn’t finish, after all this work you put into the game, most devs lose next to nothing if it doesn’t succeed, coz they don’t have a game yet, but it is different for you, you already finished the game…

Pretty much just the physical game for Dreamcast and physical OST.shadowgangs wrote:Hi DCGX;DCGX wrote:Sure, in theory, but to me I'm paying for a whole bunch of stuff I don't want. I know this is a fundraiser, but still. It'd be nice to have a tier with just the physical items. I'll still back you game, obviously, but I'm also worried the initial goal is way too high. $185,000+ is a lot.shadowgangs wrote: That's the "Dreamcast + OST Physical Edition" and up.
The digital are just a plus inherited from the previous rewards, the don't add actual $$$ to the reward itself.
But digital items are not adding price to the reward. Treat it like a bonus
If not, let me know the items you want, and will create a reward for them.
We talk about the difference between this campaign and 'Paprium,' but one thing Watermelon did that I think is smart is they had a $1 tier and pretty much everything is an add-on. It's super flexible. That might be an option. I, and many, many others were able to choose exactly what we wanted and it makes the idea of backing something very enticing. Many people skip regular retail special and collectors editions because of extra items in them that people aren't interested in.
edit: Also with 'Paprium,' each version is getting a physical release, which really helps with collectors. Not saying you have to, it's expensive to produce, but in terms of money raised, that is no doubt a driving factor.

That's the reward "Dreamcast + OST Phys Ed (NEW)"DCGX wrote:shadowgangs wrote:

It already exists.
The Digital items you can treat them as a bonus.
If I put a new physical game for Dreamcast and physical OST it will still be the same price

Tried to be backer one, but someone (probably from here) beat me to the punch haha. So number 2 will have to do
I hope the campaign succeeds.
