great job
P.S. you can solder the M25PE16 to the pad on the bottom of the STM32F401

Re: Adapter for MAPLE (Release)
Oh, cool. But that one on the picture was initially made for the first version with the STM103C8. I like to recycle stuff
Btw, how about adding 2 inputs for buttons that switch the vmu banks? It's a little bit annoying that the L1 on PS1 also acts as A button. I would brefer putting 2 little buttons under the display.

no problemCrazyIcecap wrote:Btw, how about adding 2 inputs for buttons that switch the vmu banks?
oh no, it's some games and bios that use C and Z buttons like thatCrazyIcecap wrote:It's a little bit annoying that the L1 on PS1 also acts as A button.
check in Q3 Arena, no button on the controller is duplicated, all buttons are unique including R3 and L3

Re: Adapter for MAPLE (Release)
Ah, ok. Didn't know that. I was going to format the VMUs in the BIOS, and there the L1 acts as A as well, so constantly going back and forth was a little bit tiresome.

Re: Adapter for MAPLE (Release)
I just almost finished my Arcade Stick (New Version). Because there is no Arcade Stick FW yet for the new board, i used the guts of an old BigBen PS1 Digipad.....i still have to connect the buttons and the stick, but the general functionality was succesfully tested.
Arcade Stick with Display, yay!
BTW, i accidentally designed some housings and bezels for the display and the STM-Board. Does anybody need the stl?

Megavolt85 are you discontinued the STM32F103C8T6 chips from the adapter?megavolt85 wrote:you can already order STM32F401CrazyIcecap wrote:Oh, ok, in that case i will shiver with anticipation
because i ordered and received months ago some of them ,following the first page of this topic.
My main is to built a custom arcade stick, a playstation2 to dreamcast converter and a gamecube to dreamcast controller but i don't know if the new mini display is or will be exclusive to the new ones.
I hope you can update too the first page with the upgrades you have done, it was somewhat difficult to read all the pages to find the gamecube and the latest firmwares.

yep.Dakangel wrote:Megavolt85 are you discontinued the STM32F103C8T6 chips from the adapter?
practice has shown that the STM32F103 is often faked, for example, out of three purchased boards, the mouse worked only in two.
STM32F401 costs about the same, but the specifications are much better, no defective ones have been noticed yet.
all further developments will be exclusively on the F4 series.

Re: Adapter for MAPLE (Release)
While building my Arcade Stick, i designed some simple cases for the display as add-on and for the whole adaptor.
I think it may be a good idea to share...

did this FW works for 96x64 only or adjust size with automatic?
such as 480x320. I want to try a bigger SPI LCD,and build a huge VMU,must be interesting

controllers of other displays are not supported, there is no feedback from the display controller, therefore it is impossible to make support for several types of displays
