Text in the Options settings, character dialogue etc is found in the game's 1ST_READ.BIN which you can edit using a Hex editing tool like HxD, Hex Workshop etc.

New Story Mode as always with Saving The Earth. Should definitely work on Flycast as always the Bios at fault. So make sure have the correct Bio files in your dictionary folder.

So I haven't made any progress on getting 0xF Indian Belly Dancer to load and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions debugging the crash.
Character 0xF is normally not selectable, but we can easily defeat her lockout by patching 8c14db50 with FF and then subsequently overwriting someone else's character select slot, such as Kasumi's at 8c14db56, with 0xF.

The game freezes at the exact frame the character is supposed to render on screen.
