Well, if you save your money and it doesn't come out, you'll still have the money to spend on something "REAL". My real fear is that if the "new" system comes out, will they abandon us again in less than 5 years?

I'm gonna look into this with my connection to Sony corporate Japan (yes, I really have a direct connection with them). They even send me free dress shirts, preppy shirt, a video projector with 5 inputs, and leftover Betamax tapes (no comments on the Beta thing, please). I did get the projector after pointing out what Sharp did that Sony missed during the HDMI roll-out and rubbing the Betamax in their face (with tact). I also have a direct connect with Panasonic, for whatever that is worth (I believe 1.72 cent US currency).

Sony will know what Sega is doing or thinking of doing. I just want to check my source to see what they know on Monday. No hardcore thing going on, just a question to get an unofficial statement.

what I meant was: course they know what sega is doing/planning, but knowing it & admitting it to the general public is a different thing
