I didn’t know patches exist to address the gun region issue. So cool! I’m looking forward to trying them out with my JPN gun.

i need to buy an official dreamcast light gun now.

i also just registered to get access to the patches for the lightguns and maybe in the future interact in this forum - i found the patches on consolemods.org but my gdi dont work so i wanna know what exact version i need from the post c:

mine arrived last week and the patched games work great. only took 12 days to arrive from japan to canada.

So I just bought a pair of the Hkt-7800 for my VAO dreamcast ntscu I get the peripheral port a or b region not supported or whatever code, if I unplug it and use a controller on port A I can boot it up to the menu then plug in the guns and they function!

Has anyone else noticed 3rd party guns working better with PAL or Japanese region games? I've been using the Mad Catz light gun, and it works better with the PAL versions of House of the Dead 2 and Confidential Mission.

I found a great deal on eBay for a pair of official light guns; they're en route from Japan.

Got an official light gun on the way and would love to play the patched games too. Thanks ya’ll for your efforts in keeping our beloved Dreamcast going and going. I love that there’s still new content to play on my thinking machine. Thanks again everybody.
