Re: Most Wanted Cancelled Game?!
Bitmap bureau had ‘Stampede’, they said it was cancelled late in developement and they said in 2018 that they had a playable version of the game and that it ran well, according to what I can find they’re trying to figure out how to legally put it out but it’s seeming like that’s what’s gonna keep this game locked up

End off 2001 we all would have expected the PS2 Version over the PS1 version that's for sure. Sega who I truly hated the way they high fived themselves out for the PS2, Gamecube & Xbox. At the Center Stage telling us all how much better they had ever had it working on Superior Hardwares!Maztr_0n wrote:though one thing i would add is personally i would prefer if it was the PS2 version or at least partially based on that one, the crowded stuff just kind of felt like you were really tearing up on a regular weekday without giving a flying fuck. maybe a kind of mix of the PS1 and PS2 versions would work wonders!Dirge Of Ram wrote: I would have took a PS1 port never really liked the crowded NPC's environments levels brought in on PS2/Xbox.
Day got to play Code Veronica, Friend of my declared that the Playstation can do all this & soon be on it! I was like No Way is the PlayStation getting this game or anything else! Don't ever want to be playing Sonic Adventure on Playstation! No Lie this was Mid 2000.....
Barely got a chance to play full Naomi library at home but here's Sega alienating own loyal fanbases to buy a PS2. Already dropped enough PS1 Ports on Dreamcast want us to buy more Playstation Games?! No choice did we? Wanted Shenmue 3! Well gotten Xbox first before PS2 already played Tony Hawk's 1 to 4 on the PS1 fully. Ended up getting 4 on the Xbox to see how much better it was well no was so done with it. Didn't care for the Jackass/MTV Cast & Stunts kept putting in ended up never playing THUG. I did finish Project 8 last Hawk game ever put time into.
So yeah as for more Cancelled Games, I still want to see AM2 real Shenmue 3, 4 & 5. All the leftover cut content still yet to fully see that's all in Sega Vaults. Network Jungle build to be leaked out. So much want all the Dreamcast Tokyo Game Show 99 builds to be found & released!

What ever happened to Take the Bullet? I recall one of the original devs tweeted a promise to release a more complete prototype.

yeah, money sucks... Think all DC really needed was a slick DVD addon and a Memory expansion pak (basically a modem/bba with extra ram) and it could have at least taken over the gamecube.Dirge Of Ram wrote:End off 2001 we all would have expected the PS2 Version over the PS1 version that's for sure. RAM in modem/bba?Maztr_0n wrote: (basically a modem/bba with extra ram)

Apparently you don’t know the bus topology of the Dreamcast, otherwise you would know that the RAM on the G2 bus sucks, which 90% of programmers would not use due to low bandwidth
DVD on the G2 bus is no less funny, who would connect a DVD drive to a slow bus and use a bunch of converters for this, if there is a fast G1 bus that supports connecting a DVD drive.

The game Smugglers Run was released in 2000 for PS2, does anyone know if a Sega Deeamcast version was considered?

It would be the following:
Online = Propeller Arena and PBA Tour Bowling 2001.
Offline = Deer Avenger and Earl and Toejam.
