1. a first person shooter (gee how original)
2. a 3rd person shooter (omg i can see my own feet)
3. a game that plays like some other game
4. a Final Fantasy (yup what are they on 100 by now? said thing is its an oxymoron on at lease phantasy star makes sense)
5. some game you will only play online once NO SERIOUSLY I MEAN ONLY ONLINE COD specifically

5 Things the dreamcast had
1. a creative game database (since the only had one creating different types of games is nintendo but you move a lot, also there on the ps2)
2. a large fighting collection (they had both good 2d and 3d games seriously htf did it fail)
3. Hardware that doesent have dumb ass problems (gamecube deffinitly had heating and laser problems)
4. Basicly being called capcast (do u know any company that put as many games on this console then capcom i dont even think the company in general had that many)
5. Rumble pack and vmu (if you hate rumble through the rumble pack and if you WANT TO SHARE YOUR SAVE WITH YOUR FRIEND AND OR SHOW OFF YOU CAN TAKE IT WITH YOU) you don't even know how much i hated the fact that you have to buy some kind of card to transfer files and crap like that just take your save with you. what if you live in two houses? yess i finally beat this part of the game lets go to meh moms and beat the other part WTF i have to start from the begining.

FPS? Not original? Okay.. Mention a genre thats original? Simulation? Sports? Fighting? I dont see anything more original more than the other

T(hird)PS, not original? You obviously never played one, or played it well. Go take some time and play Call of duty and then Gears Of War. The gameplay has nothing to do. In TPS, you can take cover, blindfire. It makes everything different. Its like comparing Burnout and Grand Turismo.. Both driving games, besides that, they have NOTHING in common. Go try and drive in gran turismo like you do in burnout, you wont last long. And not because its harder or anything: its DIFFERENT. You gotta analyze things more before making such statements dude..

Yeah so FF is getting repetitive, but its not the only case. Mostly sports games: Madden, FIFA, PES, NBA.. And in these they just change some players, add the new ones, improves graphics and physics.. And oh yeah, the cover. The randomly choose one guy of a team, and change the year number. Yeah thats not repetitive at all.. Isnt? At least in FF the story changes.

And i dont know what you meant on your last point..

YLOD PS3, RROD 360, non-working 360 dual layer dvd drives , non-working blu-ray drives, non-working ps3 power supplies.

this generation of consoles are disposable like a pack of razors.

You notice that except the 32X that all of Sega's consoles only had little to no problems.

Sega Master System. None that I remember.

Sega Genesis. Model 1 is incompatible with a non-top loader Sega CD Model 2. But's thats about it.

Sega CD. It uses an adapter instead of a power cord and those annoying jewel cases that shattered too easily.

Sega Saturn. The jewel cases. Internal battery resets every three years, erasing game memory.

Sega Dreamcast. Two I remember. The early pre September 1999 models had a lens problem, and the GD-ROM games were too delicate and could sctrach easily.

See all ONLY minor problems!

Now to the others.

Sony Playstation. Graphics engine often slowed down causing games to look a bit messy and grainy.

Sony Playstation 2. Lens radomly failed causing PS2 to stop working and reading games,PSone discs and DVDs.

NES. older top model games were a chore to plug in. Some unlicensed carts could overheat your NES( ahem, Action 52)

Super NES. Several adapaters were faulty on the 1994 Donkey Kong sets.


Nintendo 64. Expansion pac was mandatory for most games. Without it, most carts would be useless and you were limited in thier use.

Gamecube. No internet. SD memory cards often glicthed up. And because Nintendo choose Mini-DVD instead of regluar DVD you can't watch movies or play CD music. How pathetic, with Dreamcast you could still play CDs.

Mircosoft Xbox. Earlier models the harddrive would fry the internal BIOS/clocks if thier was too much saved on it causing the Xbox to stop reading discs. (the earlier, less common RROD.)

Other half witted crap consoles from the 90s with MAJOR PROBLEMS.

Philips CDI. Very piss poor hardware quality. Severe lens problems, terrible PC ports, faulty broken controllers. (In fact everything Philips makes sucks.) Imagine if someone actaully paid over $700 for this garbage console that is faced with these issues.

Jaguar CD. The most useless CD add on ever made. Poor design of connection wires often caused malufuntions. Plus most games required both a Jaguar with the cart plugged in and a Jaguar CD ROM game to work. No wonder why Atari went down soon after, unlike SEGA, they never recovered and went under in 2003.

Virtual Boy. BAD. Overpriced. Poor SNES port library. And lack of color with dark red lasers lens LCD caused a foray of serious heath problems including, seizures,nasea,eye damage and wiplash.

It blows my mind that this generation is suppossed to last until 2013.

The only games that require the expansion pak are Donkey Kong 64, the single-player of Perfect Dark and the multiplayer of Starcraft 64. Did you mean controller pak?

Yeah, that what I meant. Never owned an N64, but many kids I knew did and said that most games need a controller pak to use properly.

And we saw this from the get-go. I remember a few years back when they first released these pieces of crap people were making Youtube videos of RRODs and PS3 deaths.

It makes me laugh how after work today I can go home, pop in Grind Stormer on the Sega Genesis, and it boots up no problem but if I had a brand new 360 / PS3 I would have to do shaman rituals to make it work properly and to protect it from dying.

I'll second that. I'm glad I didn't buy any of the current gen systems.

Like i was saying the last point is most people (like the kids in my class) only play that game online. and most looked at games now in days are always FPS. the only game i can think that are original is resident evil 4 and 5. and some mirror games or somthing like that, i dont really play many of the new systems cause they dont seem apealing to me (just wii mario cart) I do own burnout only the 3rd but for some reason it makes me think of demolition racer on the dreamcast. same as devil may cry to sword of berserke. as for Final fantasy yes it is always like the previous but the story i suppose is what makes the game. maybe the dood from sega of america was right and we americans will never stand RPG's (but then why do i grandia 2 and skies of arcadia so much) ehh probalby cause after 7 i got too board.
a game that they should consider making again is armored core i think ive seen a sequal but with the graphics today i bet it would sell like crazy (untill their systems blow up in there faces)

It's just shit, So fuck up! Start talking Dreamcast or old school!
