Re: Configure Questions for a BBA n00b
Okay, this is new to me. I didn't know the Gateway/DNS was supposed to be set to the router's IP. And this is stuff I set in the PlanetWeb browser, right?Dr. Pariolo wrote:In case theres any doubt:

Right now I think I was setting the DNS to my computer's DNS, or maybe I just left it all 0's.
As for emailing the saves, I'll have to try that later. I fear that will be a monster for me to setup considering how much trouble my iPhone had in accepting my ISP's POP3 info.
Thanks for all the help so far, guys.

Re: Configure Questions for a BBA n00b
Okay, so now I'm not connecting to the internet at all with my DC.
Here are my settings on my Dreamcast in Dream Passport:
IP address: Manual (set to what my router is telling me my DC's IP is)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 (that's what my PC's is, but my router's is 255.255.252.0...)
Default Gateway: My router's IP
Primary DNS: My router's IP
Seconday DNS: My router's IP
Proxy Server: (blank)
What am I doing wrong here?

Re: Configure Questions for a BBA n00b
im pretty sure i always set my DNS to my PCs local IP. such as 192.168.1.1 and the 2nd DNS to 192.168.1.2. try those out. if that fails all 0's should be ok for web surfing.

Thanks for the suggestion but that isn't working either. It's been so many hours ago since I was able to connect online that I can't even remember how I did it now, ha!Gary_b wrote:im pretty sure i always set my DNS to my PCs local IP. such as 192.168.1.1 and the 2nd DNS to 192.168.1.2. try those out. if that fails all 0's should be ok for web surfing.

You mean, the IP your router gave to the DC when it was automatic or what?grolt wrote: IP address: Manual (set to what my router is telling me my DC's IP is)
Anyways, try changing that.
Another thing you could try is setting everything to 0.0.0.0 (default) check your router and see the connection info for that, and compare to the settings you are doing now.

Re: Configure Questions for a BBA n00b
Got the DC to PC connection working, guys. I had some help at another forum. Here's the link to the thread in case anyone else stumbles upon this needing help:
http://dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewtopic. ... 7#p1019337
I was also able to connect to the net by just following what Gary told me. Turned out it was the easiest thing all along - just setting everything to 0.0.0.0 and letting the DC do the rest.
I still can't setup my email though, but now that I can transfer files through the BBA, there's no need.
Now, my only hiccup is that I can't register my PSOv1 serial on the PAL PSOv2 disc. It lets me convert my file to v2, and I'm able to play it offline, but whenever I enter my serial number in it just gives me an error. Do I need to flash the BIOS or something, or am I just SOL? This is the last step for me to get online!
Thanks for all the help guys, glad my day trying to get this all setup wasn't totally in vain!

Maybe you should enter a new serial number?
Try this: PSOV2 PAL *works
Serial Number: E4367CA4
Access Key: 5YWXZG3D
