Ultra, that's very interesting. I must get on and aquire those games - they are both less than a tenner in Gamestation (UK).
BTW Why put Enslaved on the HD ? It actually improves the visuals ?

to be fair what I said may have been slightly misleading. But with the 360 version I found I had issues with music loading, I would play levels and after a big load or a check point I'd find the sound just wouldn't be present, for example climbing a wall, parts of the wall fall away and crash, but no crash or crumble sound, nothing. Also the graphic textures sometimes didn't load. If you install it onto your harddrive (I have a 250gb slim 360 black) the textures and sounds all perform better because they load from the harddrive

It will be fun to find the sleepers on the cheap, when the next generation of consoles rolls along. I'm not into the current stuff right now either. I did buy a Wii however. Gamewise I've really loved Boy and His Blob, Tenchu, and Mario Bros.
But yeah my neighbor has had me over to show me how "dope" Red Dead Redemption is. It was okay...but what he showed me was like Duck Hunt with awesome music and graphics

For me it was a dream come true. It is the BEST western game in recent memory, and possibly ever. Developers don't touch westerns much cause it is harder to make dilapidated buildings that are unsymmetrical, and have each one look unique, than to say, make big building that are perfectly symmetrical and just change the skin like many buildings in GTA IV.
I like the game cause it really gives you that sense that you are riding on horseback in the wild west.
Cougars attack you, Bears, Bandits, Native Indians. It is such a great game. The Zombie DLC called the Undead Nightmare is also amazing. It even has a Sasquatch in it!

HIGHLY recommended game and DLC!

I'm not sure about Red Dead Redemption. I bought it someone last christmas and apparently this person really enjoyed it. I'm sure I'll get to play it one day.
Hey Anthony, did you play Gun on the Xbox ? That was a pretty neat Western. Also Call Of Juarez on 360 is meant to be quite a gem.
There aren't that many Westerns on film anymore, I guess they aren't in fashion atm. But really, when you think about it, the gunfights, bandits and corralling etc are all ingredients that should always make for a good gaming experience.

I actually played Gun on the Gamecube and beat it. It was a very enjoyable game. I played Call of Juarez on PC. I got pretty far into the game but got stumped at a certain part after coming out of the mines.
I think some people think that Westerns have to be cheesy, but with these 3 games we are speaking about, we know this simply isn't true.

I think I'll eventually need to sit down on my own terms with RDR. Even from reading just the blurb on the case, I can see that there's depth to the game I didn't get at all from a shooting-gallery session.

Going online and forming a posse is actually quite fun. Just freeroaming online with others and going from town to town fighting bandits off is always fun.

RDR is to big for me though really, I just don't have the time for an open world game, I can only really focus on story driven games and action titles, and then theres COD lol
