Kannibal, I don't think sega_shuffle meant anything bad by what he said. I agree with him, a lot of people might like the idea but they wouldn't put out the cash for it. He wasn't off topic at all. This thread is just progressing into all the aspects of "DC2".
I think every Website that is Sega related has posts about the Dreamcast 2 on it haha. But, most websites/forums won't even let you talk about it anymore.
I'm still rooting for the idea of apple and Sega teaming up for a console. Mac OSX style operating system with ipod capabilties, itunes and all that cool stuff + sega games.

Sorry....I was in a bad mood earlier 'cause I got issues all the time, so it's just me thinking about others stuff! sorry sega_shuffle!!!
anyway, i didn't even think about Apple making an OS for gaming! like Microsoft and Linux although Micro has it's own console! Plus, the MACs have a smooth interface and what not! I wonder what it would look like...

No, I definitely didn't mean anything bad by what I said.

Also, Apple won't be joining the gaming scene any time soon... it's too much of a waste of money for them (massive losses selling a console cheap - an Apple one would be more than $1000 surely...). As far as they see it, what you've mentioned above is the iPhone/iPod touch.
Regarding the Dreamcast 2, I would buy one in a snapshot. Most other people on these types of forums would also pay up. A lot wouldn't. Further to that, the general public wouldn't care. To the teenagers of today, the Dreamcast was a failure and they're enjoying the current generation. SEGA would have to wait until they all launch new consoles... and I just don't think SEGA will waste money like that, especially in today's market.
I would love a re-release of the Dreamcast, as a budget machine, limited number, and a limited print run of the rest of the Naomi games that never made it onto the console. I don't think this is out of the question, but only a few wealthy buyers (or people wanting a lot of markup) would be able to get the games, and it would probably be Japan only.
If the Dreamcast hadn't failed like this, would we be talking about it so much? Probably not. People like the PS2, but it doesn't have the cult following or community of the Dreamcast, because the DC was ahead of itself (10 years old) and is special to a lot of us. It's a real shame, one of those things. Check my blog - you'll know I love the Dreamcast!!

I like this idea. They should re-release some rare DC stuff. I myself would drop money in a second to get a Resident Evil S.T.A.R.S. Dreamcast. Also if they released a few new games and such that would be a nice gesture to the DC fans. Nothing special just something to say we hear you and we appreciate you.

I would be very happy with just those 4 titles. Especially the Castlevania!

I doubt I would ever see a brand new copy of Spawn: In the Demon's hand ever again! same for Carrier or Nightmare Creatures 2!!!
