Here's my latest score. Moved up one spot in the rankings (sorry Alec!). A big improvement on my old one but I could have done better.

For a while there I seriously thought I was gonna go unchallenged after reaching the 400,000 in this competition. Then comes DH with a convincingly amazing score with a well played Wang Tang! After such such an impressive score, i seriously thought about leaving it at that considering the clock was ticking for the competition to end, I get struck with one of the WORST illnesses i can recall ever experiencing and the last 2 days of the competition fall during my work days (yes I still have to go to work even when I'm sick! How else can I afford to purchase Dreamcast stuff and eat every once in a while!?). Thing is, I simply had to try... I had to make some time to try one more time (I keep hearing the damn Powerstone announcer in my head "FIGHT ON TO VICTORY"). So with 11 hrs left for the competition, I end my 10pm shift, hit up McD's for some Dollar Menu late nite dinner, get my grub on and get comfy to play a few more games before I go to bed and wake up for work again. Well I gave it my all and this is it, I'm done! I milked this fuck'n run for all the coins I could get. I put Fokker/Falcon through the ringer, using everthing I could possibly benefit from using the character. It was fun though. I learned a bit more outta game from this exercise, and that's pretty dope for a game i've been playing for so long. Nite.

Score update:

Not that it does much difference but anyway :P
The timer is over but these last 2 scores were done before it ended, started playing when there was aprox. 1h to the competition's end.

I was about to set a bigger personal record, as I was with already 350k and counting but Gourmand instead of attacking Dr. Erode insisted in attacking me with his Power attacks, so I died - bastard!
Sometimes you gotta have luck with your companions...

I guess that with an arcade stick and all items unlocked you can get better scores, as special items that do more damage release more coins from enemies (flame rod is a good example).

And CD "Turbo Fingers" AGES steals back the lead with only two hours left! It looks like he might win this folks! :D

It hasn't ended yet. There's still two hours left in fact.

Congratulations CD, that is really impressive! I believe with Wang-Tang it would be difficult to get a higher score than that and it would reaquire luck in terms of items :P

Well, it has ended for me. Does the site consider time zones?
If so, it shouldn't, so the competition can end at the exact same time for everyone.

My time zone is UTC/GMT (it's 15h16 currently here) and the timer reached zero at 12h (PM) exactly.
