No, nothing has been done, Nikon insists the server works fine and all these problems are normal that existed in the game back when it was still online. Deal with it lol

Oh I actually have a good useful question for once, lol.
Can you plug in multiple USB modems to one PI and hook up more than one dreamcast?

Just to clarify. The delay in connecting to the lobby and starting a game was nothing to do with the Starlancer server software, but all down to DNS...
When Starlancer connects to the internet, I noticed the first thing it did was do a reverse DNS lookup using a in-addr.arpa domain. This PTR record no longer exists, so it would try the primary DNS, secondary DNS etc. and this would take quite a long time. Then it would retry a couple of times before giving up, and then finally it would load the lobby.
Presumably the same issue was causing slowness when starting a game (although I haven't confirmed this).
As there is a built-in DNS server in the DreamPi image, it was easy enough for me to add this missing PTR record there and make it return master.gamespy.com (or whatever) as the resolved domain. Instantly the connection problems went away. I still need to test a game with other players, but I've created a game and started it and it all worked perfectly!

Oh, and no you can't connect multiple USB modems - I hadn't even considered that as a possibility, but even if I had it's going to make the PPP configuration a pain in the arse and i don't know if it's even possible...
One Pi per modem please :p
P.S. 0.99 will have a similar DNS fix for 4x4 Evolution

ya that's the problem, everything works fine until other people try to play too, then when everyone is on at once, no one can create a game ERROR< and when someone has a game created no one can join it ERROR lol hope to test it again soon
That would be cool to be able to hook up more than one dreamcast, I can have two connected with my netopia.
Also, When will you plan to have these to sell Ready to go for people to use? I already saw some people sell a few of them already done for hundreds of dollars on ebay. I hope it was you that sold them cause I wouldn't want someone else selling my ideas for profit if I were you.
I have a couple friends that would buy them if they're ready to go, They can't be building their own computers like an apple1 here lol

I'm working on a packaged version, plan to lay down the line voltage PCBs this week. That wasnt me, but the guy asked for permission - I released everything as open source so I can't really say no
