Unfortunately the game is now being halted due to the programmer not being able to continue with the project - the music and graphics however are pretty much all done.
Can they look for a new programmer to take over the project?
Probably not considering they are brothers and this a hobby for two industry professionals.

So what happened to him?

I'm curious too. Was there a statement somewhere or how do you know?

Do you suppose that this game was intended to be a sidescroller like Shinobi where you can stop walking and/or move backwards, or that it was intended to be like an autoscrolling shmup with a human character who consistently moves forward at all times, like Atomic Runner Chelnov?

The latter would be more similar to Sturmwind and probably lead to better graphics, as it could chuck the stuff you passed out of ram as soon as you move past it, instead of trying to store most of an entire level in ram.

I'm inspired to ask this since the alpha footage has the character moving forward at a steady pace at all times... though perhaps that's just because the programming was at an early stage.

If only they hadn’t taken down their FB page or if there was a way to contact em through their website, but there isn’t…

I sent an email, I think to the address on their website and received a reply from Johannes that "due to bad health issues of my brother" the game is on hold. It then continues that "maybe we can find a solution later but for now i wouldn't hold my breath."

I don't know what the health issues are, I sent a reply wishing him a speedy recovery but didn't want to pry as it sounds quite serious.
