There's also the possibility the repair was cheap and he went ahead with it. Someone I knew got an HDD repaired at Best Buy and it took close to or over a month. If it needed to be sent away for an estimate, then it would add to that waiting time

Though that's probably naively optimistic

Might be time to bug Josh again lol. Unless for whatever reason Epic told him not to. Then on our only hope to restore this game is rebuilding the entire server software via reverse engineering (provided its not an encrypted transmission)

I already did. Unfortunately he just isn't responding to my emails anymore for some reason. He got permission directly from from Epic's CEO to release the server source code if he found it (I even have email proof of that

) so I doubt they're preventing him from doing so.

The last time I heard from Josh was January 13th when he said he was going to try and get an estimate on the hard drive repair that weekend. Haven't heard from him since despite multiple emails.

Dizang, well I'm glad epic actually approved of it. Thats pretty cool. I find it odd though epic wouldn't have something like that in their archives

Are there other people we could try to contact that might have a source code copy? Surely Josh wouldnt be the only holder of the source I'd hope.
