Will Dreamcast Karaoke accessories work on Dreamcast PAL from Gdemu?

Any way to connect the karaoke machine into a Dreamcast with Dreamconn+ installed? Looks like I would need a converter there for power, or can you run the karaoke power separate?

Dreamconn+: Bluetooth wireless Dreamcast controller.
I don't see any interference between the Karaoke and the wireless controller.

If you meant to refer to the Dream PSU mod, the Dreamcast's power plug is different, right?
In this case I understand that you can just turn on the Karaoke hardware independently, it has a power input.

Just look for a photo of the karaoke connected to a traditional Dreamcast and you can see what it would look like in its original form.

In other words, the difference is that you will not connect the Dreamcast with the cable that comes from the Karaoke, but rather you will connect the Dreamcast directly to the DreamPSU source, while the Karaoke will have its own power connection. So there are two independent energy bonds.

Yes, but you may have difficulty making the VCD behave properly in GDEMU.

When you start "Sega KARA Boot VCD", at some point you must change discs, so that it recognizes the VCD with the videos. Right now, as far as I've investigated, it's difficult to get GDEMU to recognize a VCD CDI image properly, to the point of changing it as a valid disc.

In other words, the way Karaoke works in terms of playing a video with the microphone active is more tested and approved within the context of the original GD-ROM Disc Drive .

I don't have anything useful to add here, but as an enthusiastic owner of the Dreamcast Karaoke unit, who loves the thing and always wished that more was done with it, I truly appreciate this awesome work!

I hope at some point we see official support for VCD images in GDEMU, it would be fantastic to be able to really leverage SegaKara on my machine. I'm curious, is there any guide/list of changes that need to be done to the kara video cable to get it to work properly with VGA output? And is it worth it to do?

VCDs work with GDEMU, just rip them to CDI format.

If there's a VCD that doesn't work with the modified SegaKara software, please send it to me so I can test.

I've tried that, but GDEMU didn't recognized as a valid disc, can you try that later on?
