This project do too many storms. It's better to private the git.
Hope rockstar never close it...

I think once one of the original Rockstar devs was made aware of it, the devs (rightly so) perhaps thought to lay low for a bit. Although there was no negative reaction, once things spiral (pun there! ) too far, it could get under the wrong noses and get shut down which would suck, I don't think for a moment that modern Rockstar would care about a console from 1999 running a game from 2001 and the former developer said as much, but you never really know tbh.

Also, there's a huge possibility that the devs are crunching hard getting the optimisation where they want it whilst juggling their real lives.
