You know what open world game is good.Crackdown 2.You should at least give it a try.Its bacially a refined crackdown 1 but that means its just that more fun.I spent alot of hours in that game leveling up, collecting things and doing simple things like enjoying the views from tall buildings. It really is a pretty game(for me anyways).

well to be fair I didn't really include Crackdown in that bracket, I have 2 and have played it, I just class that as mindless fun because you are super powered you can just run around and do whatever you want! But games like GTA IV, Elder Scrolls, Red Dead, They are too big and time consuming for me. Thats what I meant

My favorite open world game is Just Cause 2, just pure mindless destruction. If Crackdown 2 is more crazy stupid fun then sign me up!

I enjoyed Crackdown, and I HATE super hero games. I Enjoyed Just Cause, and I enjoyed Saints row. I still need to get all the sequels to these games though.

I think this will divide the people posting here, because a minority seem to think they are not very good, but I'd have to say that Mass Effect 1 and 2 are 2 of the most important games of the last 8 years. IMO of course, I just think they are amazing

Yes they are amazing and got incredibly cheap, i was suprised to see one of the best games at the moment beeing sold for such a price, people need to stop beeing so hype about the next game in whatever console, good games are cheap and easy to find.

I got RAGE Anarchy Edition for £12 the other day, and Green Lantern Rise Of the Manhunters for about the same, games are ridiculously cheap at the moment and long may it continue! Both of those games are brilliant for the price. I do love this period in a generation, lots of games available and at nice cheap prices!

That's right ! As long as you wait a while, ignore the hype and look in the right places you can enjoy the best games of this gen for surprisingly little outlay. Examples I've found recently:

At Gamestation and Cash Converters (ok, so it's known as 'crack converters' round here but if you're getting a bargain, who cares ?) All in the UK (s/h).....

Prey £1.99
Rockstar Table Tennis £1.99
Eternal Sonata £7.99
Blue Dragon £5
Sega Rally £5
Bayonetta £5.99
Virtua Tennis 3 £5
Pro Evo 2010 £2.99
Mass Effect 1&2 £4.99 - £6.99
Enslaved £9.99
Alan Wake £9.99
Silent Hill:Homecoming £7.99
Lost Odyssey £5
Dead Space 1&2 £7.99

All under a tenner ! So it's quite possible to get into this generations best games without breaking the bank. If you really want some of that Dreamcast magic on your Xbox 360 then try El Shaddai and Child Of Eden - Two recent AAA games yet I've seen them being sold brand new atm for £15 and £12 respectively. Get out there and do some shopping as you may be surprised what you find for almost nowt ;)

Oh yeah, there's always ebay.
