Alright I'll look into it next week. I don't want to mess with anything right now without being able to test with my DC.

I just got around to testing out 4x4. I wasn't having any issue connecting to our server though. Some photos below of when I tried connecting. The official chat server no longer works which is why you see "Contacting...". The DC-Talk chatserver should work for you though. If you are seeing what I see in the first image then your connection settings should be correct. Did you try using a different nick? Maybe there is some punctuation symbol in your name that it doesn't like.

Hmmmm. Did it ask you to type your nickname like it shows in the first photo I posted or did it go straight to that error?

I was able to put in my nickname prior to the error.

I'm not sure if it will matter but can you try again without the space and see if that makes any difference. The error you're getting occurs when your ip address and game port are not translated correctly to your irc NICK.
