I checked Border Down L.E. at Ebay. Around 300+ euro.
It was around 150 when i bought mine.
$300?
Yeah, the price of that game, goes up really high at times.
Probably because it is a rare dreamcast game too.

it's more or less the same here in Japan. There is quite a gap in price between the famous/popular titles and the common ones. I don't have the feeling the famous/popular titles go up in price as fast as Saturn titles such as Radient Silvergun, Thunderforce, Bulk Slash or Castlevania.
On the other hand, the common games such as Space Channel, Skies or Arcadia, Shenmue I / II, are really, really cheap, especially compared to their western counterparts. You can easily find everything for 5$ or less. It is not easy to find, given that the Dreamcast wasn't a massive hit here, but with a bit of search you can find anything without too much hassle.
In general, the Japanese version is cheaper than the western version. Not always accessible though, because of the language.
Most expensive Japanese games that I see on Japanese various market places are 200-300$ top. These are the Border Down, Rainbow Cotton, etc. But you can find the Ikaruga, Canon Spike, Tech Romancer, Bangai-o, Rez, De Ra Jet Set Radio, Segaga and the likes for less than 80$ quite easily.
Accessory too aren't that expensive either, even boxed.

I'm really glad I bought this years ago before the price started to go up even then.

Good move there.

Yeah. The LE 'Border Down' was definitely the exception for paying more for a Dreamcast game. It's still the most money I've ever spent on a video game period, around $200 shipped.
I bought pretty much all of today's pricey games cheap years ago. Usually around $20 like 'Cannon Spike,' both 'Power Stone' games and even 'Project Justice.' I made sure that I preordered and used coupons on the last official Japanese Dreamcast releases through Play Asia (and got the LE's each time), and also made some heavily-in-my-favor trades on GameTZ. Even then, in the last few years with games like 'Illbleed,' I managed to use eBay coupons and get them below $40 shipped.
One regret I have, and this isn't Dreamcast related, is not getting 'Dicing Knight Period' for Wonderswan when it was around $200-300. At the time, around college, I couldn't justify paying that much for almost anything. Of course now that price would be unheard of low.

Yup. These games tend to get pricey these days. Power Stone 1/2 and Illbleed can still be found for less that 40$ (in Japan I mean).
Dicing Knight is not just expensive, it hits market place quite rarely.

That is a good idea to use coupons and stuff, to get those Japanese games and other games.

Good move there. No way I was paying that amount for a game, even if it is for wonderswan. Lol!
Also, I haven't heard about the wonderswan in a long time.
