Good news and bad news.
Metropolis Street Racer Japanese GD-R is found!

Promo video can be watched here

Bad news is that as well as other games in this topic it most likely will not be shared with Dreamcast fans.

You have to keep in mind that some of these companies are still around, including Codemasters, so chances are, he would need permission from them or legally he can't release them.
I think that raising a legality issue for not releasing the games is nonsense. Even if we assume that the company behind the "Take the Bullet" (IF they still exist as a legal entity), or Codemasters, or any other company for that matter, would go into the trouble of pursuing the case legally, how would they EVER be able to track the person who leaked the Dreamcast game?
In the case of Half Life or Propeller Arena, someone leaked a fully playable game at a point in time which was much closer to Dreamcast's production life and there was not even a whisper from Valve or Sega. How on Earth would someone make an issue out of a 15-year old version of a game that hadn't even reached Alpha version? Releasing these videos is fine but not such a big deal. Releasing the games has actual and practical value for the community.

Well it's not much of a loss since last I knew about 2/3rds of Japan's population can speak English. But still, whoever can be sneaky and quietly release a very small printing of the game like how the NTSC-U copy of Deep Fear on the Saturn came to be.

Where did you get the info that 2/3rds of the population can speak English? Most barely know a few common words and that is about it.

It is pretty rare to hear Japanese speaking English, and even when they do they struggle with the pronunciations. I know some German and Spanish myself, and although not really fluent I do struggle a little with pronouncing words but not on the level of the Japanese on most English speaking.

Wow, nice to see the JP version was actually pressed!

I remember reading about this on another forum back in 2007 but no pictures to verify.....
I should point out the SegaGagaDomain video linked above shows an early version of the game before the Honda cars were removed...and it's a Honda NSX that's doing the hill jump at the end. So I doubt the cars do leave the floor in the JPN version either. Of course I could be wrong.....

A lot of the information that I know were told form word of the mouth. So I should of have backup by statement with some reliable resources. Sadly what I said did not have any. Thank you for the correction. I should have known better not to post something without using my gut instinct.

Hehe nah it is ok, we are so used to Japanese games having so much English text in them and everything it can be easy to guess a lot of them speak English fluently but they don't. In all other places heavily influenced by America a lot of the population speaks English, like South Korea for example, but still my guess would be not a lot like in European countries.
